TCS to hire 30,000 professionals
TCS to hire 30,000 professionals
India's second largest Information Technology player Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has indicated that it may recruit as many as 30,000 professionals in the next financial year. The IT major is very optimistivc about the outlook of the industry in the coming financial year, keeping in mind the change in the economic climate; not just in India but globally too.
S. Mahalingam, the TCS Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director, said to the media that as forecasted by TCS, the previous two quarters have been good for the IT industry on the whole. He added that the company is confident the growth will continue in this quarter too. They are expecting if the growth in this quarter will be better than the growth during the economic boom.
Riding on this optimism, the company will also be giving decent pay hikes to its employees.
On the question of the percentage of increment to be given, Mahalingum said he is not at the liberty to divulge the number. A formal announcement regarding the same is expected to be made by the company in the month of April.
But as per the market grapewine, the hike is expected to be within the regular industry standard bracket.
About TCS:
At TCS, it means achieving real business results that allow you to transform, and not just maintain, your operations. Our IT services, business solutions, and outsourcing bring you a level of certainty that no other competitor can match. You'll experience requirements that are met on-time, within budget, and with high quality; greater efficiency and responsiveness to your business; and the ability to shift investment to strategic initiatives rather than tactical functions.
TCS understands that clients need to do more with less, respond quickly to the needs of their markets and get more strategic advantage from IT. We are uniquely able to help clients solve these business challenges. Whether it's IT services, business solutions, or outsourcing, we can assure a level of certainty that others can't match.
One of the prime differentiators of winning and losing companies is the amount of time IT spends running the business vs. transforming the business. To truly deserve a seat at the management table, IT must show their organizations how to capitalize on IT, not just pay for it. Read on to know how Delivery Excellence is the surest route from running the business to changing the business.
More than 1,400 TCS professionals are delivering application development, maintenance, and testing; production support; process and quality consulting; and re-engineering and migration services to ABN AMRO from Brazil, US, UK, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Netherlands, France, Germany, Hong Kong, and India. These teams work with ABN AMRO’s other vendors to ensure success, performing tasks within the bank’s Operational Level Agreement framework and the RACI matrix.
CDS needed to integrate existing systems, shorten cycle times, reduce costs, and create new functionality for the 21st-century investment community. They turned to TCS for help. What followed was an ambitious three-year engagement to build a new system that represented one of the largest and most complex infrastructure initiatives in Canadian financial services.
